Practice Statement
Mr. Harris graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1981, and from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1984, where he was a member of the law review. His legal practice started in Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked for 18 years prior to relocating to Colorado.
Mr. Harris' litigation practice focuses on the defense of civil cases. His practice has included an emphasis on the defense of product liability, personal injury, premises liability, nursing home liability, property damage and insurance coverage cases. Mr. Harris' practice has involved both trial and appellate litigation in federal and state courts in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado.
Mr. Harris' experience includes representing national elevator and escalator manufacturers and maintenance companies in the mid-west region, as well as companies involved in the supply, transportation and/or retail sale of LP gas and anhydrous ammonia. Mr. Harris' experience also includes defending individuals and companies involved in the retail sale, installation and/or maintenance of propane-fueled heating appliances and water heaters. These cases usually involve LP gas fires, explosions, or carbon monoxide exposure.
Mr. Harris is admitted to practice in the states of Colorado and Missouri. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, and the Propane Gas Defense Association.
