Practice Statement
Mr. Pottinger received his B.S. in business with distinction (top ten percent) in 1985 from the University of Kansas; his J.D. from the University of Colorado was awarded in 1988. At the University of Colorado, Mr. Pottinger was a member of the law review and a regional finalist in the National Moot Court trial competition. From 1988 to 1989, Mr. Pottinger served as clerk to the Hon. Clarence A. Brimmer, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.

Mr. Pottinger has been admitted pro hac vice in a variety of jurisdictions, both state and federal. Since 1989, he has represented civil and criminal clients in many courts, both trial and appellate. In addition, he has represented clients in administrative proceedings before a variety of state and federal agencies. Mr. Pottinger has acted as special litigation counsel representing bankruptcy clients, including Frontier Airlines. Mr. Pottinger also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution forums, both formal and informal.

Mr. Pottinger holds a private pilot certificate with an instrument rating.
