Professional Liability
TAMB represents many of the professional liability carriers writing insurance in Colorado. TAMB's professional liability group consistently defends claims brought against local and national accountants, attorneys, architects, financial planners, health care providers of various types, psychiatrists and psychologists, real estate agents, and securities broker/dealers. Members of TAMB have acquired national renown in this area, speaking at professional liability seminars and chairing professional liability committees of both the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel.







Products Liability
TAMB's litigation group possesses considerable depth in representing major international and domestic corporations in products liability litigation in state and federal courts in Colorado and throughout the country. We have extensive experience representing several self-insureds in product liability cases involving any number of products, from aircraft to automobiles to medical devices to pharmaceuticals. In the process, TAMB has created a large database of information and legal research on product liability law in Colorado and elsewhere.







Workers' Compensation
TAMB's workers' compensation group is recognized as among the foremost defense litigators in the state in this highly specialized and complex field. TAMB represents a variety of employers and self-insured clients, ranging from large companies to small employers. Our attorneys have extensive experience in all aspects of workers' compensation defense, from hearings and discovery to appeals in all forums. TAMB successfully tries cases in every venue throughout the State of Colorado.







Aviation Law
TAMB’s aviation law group has a national and international reputation for its representation of airlines, regionals, Fixed Base Operators, Emergency Medical Service Operators, maintenance and repair stations, commercial and private pilots and owners. Our aviation group has tried cases arising from airline crashes in several states, including Colorado, Nevada, Utah and New York. We have also represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the country, including Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New York, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

Aviation group principal attorney L. Richard Musat was lead trial counsel for Continental Airlines in the federal multidistrict trial of In re Air Crash Disaster in Denver, Colorado, on November 15, 1987, which arose from the crash of Continental Flight 1713. Mr. Musat also was one of the trial lawyers in the Pan Am Flight 103, Lockerbie, Scotland, terrorist bombing cases tried in Brooklyn, New York, and managed all litigation arising from the catastrophic fire that destroyed the Stapleton International Airport fuel facility.







Environmental and Toxic Tort Matters
Since the inception of the firm TAMB has defended companies in environmental, asbestos and other toxic tort litigation, including major Superfund litigation involving over one hundred parties. TAMB has represented several corporations in liability claims related to asbestos litigation, Superfund litigation realted to the Lowry landfill matter, and the Stapleton Airport fuel farm fire.







Employment
TAMB has been active in employment law since litigation in this arena first became en vogue, defending corporations and public entities involved in a wide range of substantive employment litigation. Defending cases in this rapidly-developing area of the law requires skill in both employment law and litigation. TAMB's employment group brings both of these competencies to our clients, substantially increasing the likelihood that these high-risk, high-expense cases can be resolved efficiently and effectively.







Insurance and Reinsurance
TAMB's members have been involved in insurance litigation throughout their careers, with decades of experience in defending a broad spectrum of cases ranging from automobile accidents to general liability, including surety and fidelity work. TAMB's insurance and reinsurance group frequently issues coverage opinions to both insurance carriers and private corporations. TAMB also regularly represents clients in bad faith litigation involving mortgage guaranty insurance and property and casualty carriers, as well as health care insurers. TAMB's insurance law practice extends to complex reinsurance disputes involving intermediaries and underwriters, domestic and foreign.







Business and Commercial Litigation
The members of TAMB have always been involved in general commercial litigation, spanning matters as diverse as construction, real estate, contract, bankruptcy, and partnership and corporation disputes. The experience and knowledge gained from representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in these commercial settings gives TAMB's business and commercial litigation group the advantage to provide our clients with virtually immediate advice in a wide variety of business and commercial contexts, including class action defense and white-collar criminal matters.







Administrative Law
TAMB represents persons and corporations before state administrative law judges in hearings on a diverse number of matters. These matters are tried in Colorado in accordance with the Colorado Rules of Evidence, and are essentially non-jury trials. TAMB's administrative law group represents a variety of clients administrative hearings in numerous fields of administrative law.







Bankruptcy Litigation
TAMB routinely represents clients on adversary matters in the United States Bankruptcy Court. TAMB's bankruptcy litigation group defends clients in complex adversary matters, as well as matters relating to litigation arising from bankruptcy trustees making adversary claims against our clients.







Appellate Practice
TAMB routinely handles appellate matters for cases we have tried, as well as cases tried by other lawyers that are referred to our appellate practice group for appeal. TAMB handles appeals in Colorado state and federal courts alike, including appeals from the bankruptcy courts.







Construction Litigation
TAMB's construction litigation group has extensive experience in trying construction-related lawsuits, both as plaintiffs and defendants. TAMB's construction litigation group regularly represents architects, structural and mechanical engineers, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors across the Front Range in a variety of construction defect suits with multi-million dollar exposure. TAMB's litigators work both with local and national experts in representing their clients, and themselves possess a high degree of technical knowledge regarding construction which facilitate timely and effective representation.







Trucking/Motor Carrier Litigation
TAMB represents, either as primary outside counsel or primary regional counsel, a number of regional and national common carriers involving accidents, regulatory compliance, and related litigation. TAMB's trucking/motor carrier litigation group provides critical counsel and timely response to our clients by drawing on a functional and regulatory knowledge of trucks, heavy equipment, and common transportation issues learned from years of representing trucking companies that operate in and around Colorado. In addition, the trucking/motor carrier litigation group has extensive experience with standards and reconstructive experts in this specialized field, enabling TAMB to quickly assess and counsel our clients when accidents occur. TAMB is highly active in national trucking law groups, and is a member of all major national organizations whose focus is on law and issues affecting common carriers. These include the Trucking Industry Defense Association, American Trucking Associations, and the Defense Research Institute's substantive Trucking Law Committee.







White-Collar Criminal Defense
TAMB has long been involved in representing persons charged both in state and federal courts with violations of criminal statutes relating to business activities. This includes routine business operations that suddenly become the subject of alleged criminal law violations. The TAMB white-collar criminal defense group's work includes representation before charges are filed, including grand jury investigations.







Public Entity Liability
TAMB's lawyers were among the first in Colorado to defend public entities, and have represented the State of Colorado and many counties and cities in tort and civil rights matters. The TAMB public entity liability group's experience in this area focuses on defending public entities in both federal and state courts.







Alternative Dispute Resolution
TAMB believes in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, summary trials and mini-trials. TAMB arbitrates numerous disputes through the National Association of Securities Dealers, the American Arbitration Association, and other private arbitrators for all types of claims and from nearly all of TAMB's practice groups.
